When King Minos needs a prison for a Minotaur – a monster that is half man, half bull – the inventor Daedalus builds an underground maze. Rather than being rewarded for his work, Daedalus and his son Icarus are locked up to keep it a secret.

About Stella TaraksonJinyue Fan

Stella graduated with a law degree, but writing was always her passion. Before long, she left her 'sensible' job and plunged into the world of publishing. She has now written over 30 books. As the daughter of Greek immigrants, Stella was steeped in Greek mythology, and she uses her love of Greece in her books.

Jinyue Fan is an illustrator and 2D animator. Since graduating from Central Saint Martins in London, she has been working as a children’s book illustrator. She has had the opportunity to work with great online education companies, such as New Oriental, Lingo Ace, and Zuoye. Jinyue loves to create illustrations for children’s books and book covers, commercial promotion, postcards, and more. As a digital artist, Jinyue uses Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Procreate to develop illustrations with simple outlines and rich pencil textures. Jinyue’s main sources of inspiration are fairy tales, myths, and ancient western poems.
