Prior to her work as a professor, Dr. Parenti spent 15 years in the field of K-12 education as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, and professional development consultant in diverse communities throughout Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City.

Danielle DiMarco is a Literacy Coach and Consultant with a Masters in Education/Literacy from St. John’s University, where she provides professional development for classroom teachers.

E. Francine Guastello is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Human Services and Counseling and Coordinator of the Graduate Literacy Specialization. She received her Ed. D. from St. John’s University.
