If you’re concerned, just talk to a member of our staff or, alternatively, swing your legs over the edge of the bed and walk out, remembering to pull the camera from your bum before leaving the hospital.

Liz has got an embarrassing problem, and these yogurts aren’t helping. Her body’s acting up.

Gutted is a bold new journey of frank confessions, colourful characters and too much brown sauce. A shameless tale of love, laughter and lavatories, it is based on solo performer Liz Richardson's real-life experiences as a young woman living with ulcerative colitis (similar to Crohn's Disease).

Liz Richarson is an actor, theatre-maker and comedian. She trained at East 15 Acting School and performed regularly with improvisation company The Factory for 6 years before moving back north to her roots. Her one-woman show Gutted, co-created by theatre-maker and director Tara Robinson, debuted at HOME in Manchester and after a sell-out run was recommissioned for a second run in summer 2017 and went on to the Edinburgh Fringe.

Tara Robinson is the artistic lead and founder of The Conker Group. She divides her time between creating new work with them and other freelance roles including her current position as Resident Associate Artist with Boundless Theatre. She is an ongoing creative associate at the Gate Theatre in London, and a supported artist with Farnham Maltings, a former Resident Assistant Director at The Abbey Theatre in Dublin and a former Associate Director for the Michael Grandage Company
