Informs the tourism industry how to better respond to the specific needs and values of this important and growing market.

This book provides a comprehensive exploration of Halal and Islamic tourism in the contemporary travel industry, alongside an in-depth analysis of the unique characteristics of Muslim tourists, offering insights into faith-informed journeys. It presents the principles, significance and growth of Halal and Islamic tourism, with an emphasis on the role of Maqasid al-Shari'ah in shaping this type of tourism.

The volume examines Muslim travellers’ motivations, experiences and preferences, with a special focus on Muslim women travellers. It also offers perspectives on how sustainability practices, emerging trends and technology can enrich and transform the future of Halal and Islamic tourism.
