The perfect gift for nature fans!

Join nature enthusiast and wildlife cameraman Hamza Yassin as he gets out and about looking at plants and animals and recording the seasons as they change. This brilliant activity book is illustrated with black and white line illustrations and photos.

Hamza's Nature Year is packed with facts and puzzles for every month of the year and looking at all kinds of habitats. Spot snowdrops at the start of the year, listen out for birdsong, help bees through a maze, complete a spring babies crossword, colour by numbers, crack a code to reveal the names of migrating birds, do a minibeast picture sudoku, a rockpool wordsearch, work out who did which poo and that's just for starters!

Born in Sudan, Hamza Yassin moved to the UK when he was 9 years old and settled in Scotland following the completion of his Masters Degree. He made his first television appearance on The One Show and continues to appear on the show regularly now. He went on to become Ranger Hamza for CBeebies live action show Let’s Go for a Walk and Eco Quest. Hamza is one of the main presenters on BBC’s Countryfile and BBC’s Animal Park. Previously he has fronted his own Channel 4 documentaries, Scotland: My Life in the Wild, Scotland: Escape to the Wilderness. His most recent documentaries on BBC1 have been Hamza: Strictly Birds of Prey in 2023 and Hamza’s Hidden Wild Isles in 2025.
