Rather than talk to one another, the only way to make themselves heard, was to play LOUDER! Passers-by would cover their ears, shaking their heads at the racket that spilling out into the street. Complaints start pouring in and if the awful noise should continue, the residents would soon be forced to leave. Monika Singh Gangotra is a South Asian author from Australia, now based in Birmingham. She is known for her picture book "Sunflower Sisters" (2021), which celebrates cultural diversity and friendship. Drawing from her Indian heritage and experiences as a migrant, Monika writes stories that promote inclusivity and cultural understanding.
