Collins Big Cat supports every primary child on their reading journey from phonics to fluency. Top authors and illustrators have created fiction and non-fiction books that children love to read. Levelled for guided and independent reading, each book includes ideas to support reading. Teaching and assessment support and eBooks are also available.

When Uncle Claude surprises Harris and Grace with a mystery trip, it doesn’t go quite as planned and things take a turn for the spooky. Do witches really exist? Do you believe in ghosts?

This thrilling graphic novel is written and illustrated by John Chalmers and Sandra Marrs.

Sapphire/Band 16 books offer longer reads to develop children's sustained engagement with texts and are more complex syntactically.

Pages 54 and 55 allow children to re-visit the content of the book, supporting comprehension skills, vocabulary development and recall.

Ideas for reading in the back of the book provide practical support and stimulating activities.

John Chalmers and Sandra Marrs are a Franco-Scottish graphic novel duo who also work under the name Metaphrog. They are winners of the Sunday Herald Scottish Culture Awards Best Visual Artist 2016 and the Excelsior Award Junior 2018. They have received multiple Eisner Award nominations, critical acclaim and have appeared at many international festivals. They live in Glasgow.
