Harry in a Hurry is Timothy Knapman and Gemma Merino's unique twist on the well-loved Aseop’s Fable, The Tortoise and the Hare. Harry the Hare is always in a hurry – he’s not even sure why! He eats fast and talks fast – and if he’s riding on his speedy scooter then you’d better watch out! But when Harry accidentally hurries his way into the local pond, and Tom the Tortoise fishes him out, Harry is forced to take a leaf out of Tom’s book and slow right down. In doing so he not only finds a new friend, but enjoys a whole new world of experiences.

Gemma Merino won the prestigious Macmillan Prize for Children’s Illustration in 2011, whilst studying for her MA in Children’s Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. She is best known for her award-winning picture book, The Cow That Climbed a Tree, which won the Oscar’s Book prize in 2016. Born in Catalonia, Gemma originally studied architecture in Barcelona and has worked in practices in Spain, Dublin, Tel Aviv and London, where she currently lives.

Timothy Knapman has been writing plays, musicals and children’s books for over ten years and his books have been translated into twenty languages. He is known for his bestselling book, Dinosaurs in the Supermarket, and his stories have been heard on CBeebies Bedtime Stories.
