From the author who brought you 100 Greatest Cycling Climbs comes another essential guide to vertical pain. This time Simon Warren has turned his attention to the famous climbs of Belgium and the ascents that define the world's greatest single-day bike races. From the rugged cobbles of the Tour of Flanders (or De Ronde), which takes place in early April each year, to the jagged peaks of Liège-Bastogne-Liège, also in April, and beyond, this pocket guide pinpoints fifty climbs that once ridden will give a true appreciation of the races they epitomise. If you thought Belgium was flat . . . think again.

About Simon Warren
SIMON WARREN has lived and breathed bikes and cycling for over thirty years and is the author of the bestselling 100 Greatest Cycling Climbs and Another 100 Greatest Cycling Climbs. He's won a few races and competed - and struggled - against the best riders in the UK, but most of all he loves to ride his bike uphill. He spent seven years working as a designer at Cycling Weekly before leaving to broaden his horizons in 2003, although he still regularly contributes reports to the magazine he has read since he was a teenager. He lives with his wife and two children in Sheffield and has appeared on TV on numerous occasions and writes regularly for Cycling Weekly and Cycling Plus. He has had both weekly and monthly columns in the past and also contributes to many blogs. He guides rides, hosts events, gives talks and generally promotes his Greatest Cycling Climbs brand twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
