Pat-a-Cake takes you and your child on a magical journey. From sharing the very first baby book to watching your little one read all by themselves. The adventure begins here . . . Laura's lifelong passion for children's books began even before she graduated from Norwich School of Art in 2000 with a 1st class honours in Visual Studies. Her major project book was published following graduation and went on to win a prestigious V&A Illustration Award in 2002. Laura was also longlisted for the Booktrust Big Picture Best New Illustrator award 2008. Laura has continuously worked for a variety of children's publishers in London as Designer and Art Director whilst also writing and illustrating over 20 published works. Laura is head over heels in love with children's books and shares her enthusiasm with her son, and with lots of other children by running workshops in schools and activity centres such as The Roald Dahl Centre.
