A magical celebration of friendship – and the perfect bedtime story for every child who dreams of a horse of their own!

Once there was a horse … that jumped.
It jumped over a flower.
It jumped over a rock.
It jumped right over a fence … and out into the world.

Jumping through country and town, the horse meets a girl, and together they keep on jumping: over waves and mountains, over clouds, the sun and the moon … into a world of stars and dreams.

From the bestselling illustrator of The Snatchabook!

Thomas Docherty is an acclaimed author and illustrator of a number of bestselling picture books. When he was at school, Thomas never imagined he would end up writing books. He is dyslexic, so his spelling was terrible and he struggled with reading. Luckily his mum and dad read stories to him and took him to the library, where he spent hours looking at picture books – Asterix comics were his favourite. Thomas always liked drawing and when he started keeping a sketchbook diary, especially if he travelled somewhere new, it became the inspiration for his first picture books. Thomas’s books, including The Snatchabook, written by his wife Helen, Little Boat, Big Scary Monster, and the Driftwood Ball have won many awards and been translated into 25 languages. He is also the illustrator of Bombs and Blackberries and Chariots and Champions, written by Julia Donaldson. Thomas lives in Wales with his wife Helen and their two daughters.
