There's more than one way to keep a journal. How to Journal Like an Artist will teach you everything you need to know to draw your daily life. In this encouraging and inspirational guide, Jane Maday shares tips and techniques on keeping a sketch journal, also known as an illustrated journal or art journal. From information on art materials to creative prompts to step-by-step instructions, you'll learn how to record your favourite memories with art instead of words. Plus you'll get blank pages to practice on and pictures to cut out and use in your own collages. How to Journal Like an Artist is a colourful, illustrated how-to guide for artists, journalers, and creative souls of all styles and experience levels.

Jane Maday is an artist and illustrator. She is also the author of books on drawing and creativity, including How to Journal Like an Artist and Everyday Art Exercises. Her best-selling colouring books include Nature's Sweet Moments and The Art of Positivity. She began her career at age 14 as a scientific illustrator for the University of Florida. After receiving a bachelor's degree from the Ringling College of Art and Design, she was recruited by Hallmark Cards as an illustrator. She left the corporate world after her children were born and moved to beautiful Colorado. Her work has adorned children's books, collector plates, ornaments, cards, t-shirts, garden flags, jigsaw puzzles, and much more. She has two children, a menagerie of animals, a garden for inspiration, and a husband to share it all.
