It was in Huddersfield that the leading clubs of Yorkshire and Lancashire met to decide the formation of the Northern Rugby Football Union in 1895. Since then, Huddersfield RLFC have enjoyed much success, including winning all four cups available in the 1914/15 season with the side that came to be known as the 'Team of All Talents'. More recently the club has seen promotion to the Super League and in the last couple of years have added several top players to their ranks. This book focuses on the 100 greatest players from the club’s history, with biographies, statistics and many rare illustrations.

David Gronow has been secretary at Huddersfield RLFC for fourteen years and has an extensive photographic and statistical library. His family also have strong links with the club (his grandfather played for the side in the early twentieth century). He is based in Huddersfield.
