Research has shown that adult learners prefer a problem-solving, rather than a subject-centered approach to learning. Human Resource Management provides a nontraditional view of teaching and learning the basics of human resource management through a series of 125 in-basket exercises and guided questions. Exercises focus on current problems and issues that confront school administrators on a daily basis. A brief history of assessment centers and a synopsis of recognized adult-learning theories are also provided. This revised edition includes:
·in-basket exercises linked to ISLLC Standards
·updated "suggested readings"
·six new in-basket exercises
·an expanded list of online resources

Human Resource Management: A Problem-Solving Approach Linked to ISLLC Standards will have a positive impact on university courses in personnel administration, as well as professional development programs undertaken at the district level.
