Humanistic Management and Leadership redefines the way we understand management in the 21st century by centering the conversation around the human condition and global challenges. Grounded in a dignity-centered and values-driven humanistic approach, this textbook explores how organizations and leaders can align performance with purpose, motivation with meaning, and strategy with human and societal flourishing.
Drawing from foundational management theories and contemporary research, this book equips students, practitioners, and aspiring leaders with tools for developing humanistic practices and leadership. Topics include emotional intelligence, dignity in leadership, the power of teams, mindful self-leadership, prosocial behavior, and navigating organizational complexity with integrity.
The book is experiential, featuring reflective activities, real-world case studies, and exercises designed to translate abstract theory into practical skillsets. From understanding motivation and psychological safety to thriving in diverse teams and optimizing purpose-driven cultures, students are empowered to both think critically and lead compassionately.
Whether you're a business student, emerging leader, or change agent, this book invites you to lead not just from authority and profit-striving—but from authenticity, insight, and a deep commitment to collective well-being.
