He is the Editor of the International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, a Diplomat of the American Board of Professional Psychology, and a Past President of the Society for Psychological Hypnosis, Division 30 of the American Psychological Association.

John G. Watkins, Ph.D., is Professor Emeritus of Clinical Psychology, University of Montana, and currently serves on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis. Dr. Watkins is a Past President of the Society for Psychological Hypnosis, Division 30 of the American Psychological Association, and of the American Board of Psychological Hypnosis.
