Kay Widdowson began her career as an animator in children's television, but for the last 20 years she has been working as a freelancer children's book illustrator. She's published work with Campbell, Usborne, Autumn, Hodder, Tango, The Welsh Books Council and Lion. She also belongs to a group of printmakers and produces etching and collagraphs. She lives on the edge of Chorlton Meadows Nature Reserve.
