A brightly illustrated rhyming story set in the African Savannah, I Can't Do It... Yet! teaches children the power of perseverance when faced with a challenging task.
Follow Frances the Cheetah, Nathan the Giraffe and their animal friends as they grapple with new skills and learn the value of trying again and again to achieve success. With the help of their wise mouse narrator, everyone learns that through steady effort and support from friends, they can master new skills.
The Courage Club series equips children with the skills needed to make friends with their feelings and embrace new challenges. These playful rhyming stories are perfect for nurturing confidence and emotional wellbeing. Parent and teacher notes at the back offer support for discussing feelings and emotional resilience with children right from the early years and up.
Matt Bawler is the creator of The Courage Club, a children’s book series designed to support young readers in developing inner strength, self-belief and emotional resilience from the very start of their journey. Inspired by his work with children and families, the stories were written to give every child (and their grown-ups) the language, tools and confidence they need to face challenges, grow in self-belief, and discover the courage that already lives inside them.
Matt currently works as Head of Early Years and Wellbeing for a school in South London. A teacher of over 20 years, his biggest passion is supporting children in the Early Years and up to develop strong foundations in positive mental health. This is not just to equip children with the tools to cope when life’s challenges come but also to empower them with the skills to be able to thrive well beyond that.
