  • A unique book that uses typography as illustration and plays with the form and meaning of the written word.
  • Joyful nonsense verse in which the words illustrate themselves, taking on the shapes of their meanings - animals, objects, buildings and more.
  • Brilliant typeplay that challenges the reader in every page, like an intricately designed puzzle.
  • Designed to have layers of meaning, building a narrative that is more than the sum of its parts.
  • A delightful book that readers of all ages are sure to enjoy.
Author - ANUSHKA RAVISHANKAR is considered the finest English language children's poet in India. She started her career as a programmer and systems analyst before she switched from writing computer programs to writing absurd verse for children. She has now written over thirty books and travelled widely performing her stories.

Illustrator - RATHNA RAMANATHAN has steered the design philosophy of Tara since the very beginning, working on over 25 titles, as well as creating distinctive catalogues and exhibitions. In the process, she can be said to have pioneered innovative children's book design in India. Her main interest is in typography - as showcased in many of our titles - as well as changing the form of the book. She runs minus9, her own graphic design studio, and is currently the Head of College and Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Arts, at the Central Saint Martins College in London.
