FROM THE NATIONAL BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF I’M STILL HERE: A DOG’S PURPOSE FOREVER, a beautifully illustrated, comforting gift for anyone grieving a beloved cat—told from the clever, loving voice of an angel cat who gently reminds you: your bond is forever.

Losing a cat—the most discerning and self-possessed of beings—means losing a companion who chose you, trusted you, and made your days brighter. I’m Still Here: A Cat’s Purpose Forever offers tender comfort through the voice of a confident, clever, ever-loving feline who wants you to know that the connection you shared will never fade.

Speaking from beyond with warmth and gentle humor, this furry angel cat reassures readers that love continues in ways we cannot see—that they still watch over you, guide you, and wait in a place where all animals run free without pain.

Paired with luminous watercolor illustrations by award-winning artist Michelle Detering, this collection of poetic reflections becomes a soothing companion for anyone navigating loss. Author Cathryn Michon, co-writer of the hit film, A Dog’s Purpose, writer and director of the Netflix film A Dog’s Perfect Christmas, and author of the bestselling book I’m Still Here: A Dog’s Purpose Forever brings her signature blend of empathy, hope, and heartfelt storytelling to this deeply comforting volume.

A perfect sympathy or remembrance gift, I’m Still Here: A Cat’s Purpose Forever honors the cats we’ve loved—and reminds us that their spirits stay close, until we meet again.
Cathryn Michon has an eclectic career as a filmmaker, actor, comic, nationally bestselling author, animal advocate and TV host. Directing and writing feature films is her life's joy. Because she was the only woman screenwriter in America who had two feature films in world release in 2019 (A Dog’s Way Home and A Dog’s Journey, sequel to A Dog’s Purpose) all told from a dog’s point of view, she began to dream of writing a free verse narrative book she could give friends who had lost a dog, to encourage them to open their hearts to another, as she had. The impact this book had for those who had lost a dog, or a person, who had gone too soon, inspired her to share the unique perspective of cats - who, for everyone who knows and loves them, have their own magnificent (and they might claim superior) understanding of the world and what is beyond it to comfort those who miss them.

Her dog Tucker, featured in Seth’s illustrations, was adopted after she lost her only dog Ellie, and Tucker is both her muse and best friend.
