Since his retirement, he has continued an active speaking and writing schedule and serves as Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress in Washington, DC. Desmond Tutu (1931-2021) was a South African Anglican bishop and theologian, known for his work as an anti-apartheid and human rights activist.
