Come and explore the ocean's depths and discover the bizarre and beautiful creatures that live there - from the dumbo octopus and the gulper eel to curious deep-sea corals.

Packed with multi-layered pop-ups and flaps to lift, this incredible feat of paper-engineering invites you to immerse yourself in one of the least explored parts of our planet and learn how the animals there have adapted to their otherworldly underwater home. Be dazzled by brilliant bioluminescence, marvel at the epic battle between a whale and a giant squid and brave scalding hydrothermal vents as The Incredible Pop-up Octopus reveals wonder after wonder, page after page.

Written by award-winning wildlife journalist and nature nerd Ben Hoare and illustrated in striking colour and texture by rising star Jasmine Floyd, this fact-packed pop-up book shows the true beauty of the deep sea and the creatures that thrive in its depths. Perfect for readers from 7 to 100.

Ben Hoare (Author)
Since graduating from university in 1996, Ben Hoare has written and edited enough natural history books and magazines to fill his bookshelves to overflowing. He has been a staff member in the offices of the RSPB, Birdwatch magazine, DK and various BBC magazines, especially BBC Wildlife. In 2015 Ben was awarded the Dilys Breese Medal for science communication by the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) - he is one of only 15 people to hold the award. Ben lives in a sleepy village in the Quantock Hills of Somerset with his wife, two daughters, a labrador and a flock of unruly chickens.

Jasmine Floyd (Illustrator)
Jasmine is a freelance illustrator and printmaker residing in the Shropshire countryside. Her illustration style was massively influenced by her experiences studying illustration in Liverpool and the wonderful arts scene there - hence the vibrant colours and psychedelic vibes! Jasmine loves to create headache-inducing patterns and riso prints but most importantly illustrations that make people happy.
