Industrial Safety and Health for People-Oriented Services focuses on the safety requirements of the tertiary sector of industry’s education, health, and hospitality services. This is an instruction manual on managing a safe and healthy environment— one free of biological, chemical, and ergonomics hazards – while adhering to OSHA regulations. In addition to addressing interventions and preventive approaches to help ensure a safe workplace and applicable safety standards, this book:

  • Explains workplace fire prevention relating to hot processes and radiation (both ionizing and non-ionizing)
  • Uses real-world examples and relevant illustrations as an integral part of each chapter
  • Provides guidance on removal, delimiting, and mitigation of safety and health hazards
  • Contains a checklist and other tools to assist in assuring a safer workplace

This must-have guide covers workplace emergency planning, customer and coworker safety, health, security, and violence in the workplace. It is an essential tool for keeping service industry employees protected and should sit in every service manager’s library.
