About Vern S. Poythress

Vern S. Poythress (PhD Harvard University; ThD University of Stellenbosch) is Distinguished Professor of New Testament Biblical Interpretation and Systematic Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia Pennsylvania where he has taught for four decades. In addition to earning six academic degrees he is the author of numerous books and articles on biblical interpretation language and science.D. A. Carson (PhD Cambridge University) is Emeritus Professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He is a cofounder and theologian-at-large of the Gospel Coalition and has written and edited nearly two hundred books. He and his wife Joy have two children and live in the north suburbs of Chicago.
