Islington: The Second Selection
This second selection of old photographs and postcards in the Archive Photographs Series provides unique insights into the many changes that have taken place in Islington over the last century. Once again the author has successfully put together an intriguing compilation of images which allow the reader a flimpse into Islington's past. In this new collection we take a nostalgic look back at some of the changes in transport, architecture and industry that have taken place in this London Borough: from the introduction of street lamps, to the appearance of fashionable shops along Holloway Road and the replacement of horse trams with a new electric tramway service at Finsbury Park.
