Life can be challenging, and social and emotional skills play a huge role in learning how to cope with those challenges. The My Spectacular Self picture book series uses humorous and relatable stories to draw the reader in. Story-related discussion questions are included to allow caregivers and teachers the opportunity to help readers become more aware of themselves and others, helping each child become their most spectacular self!
Román Díaz was born in Mexico. Since he was a child, he always wanted to draw like adults. Now that he is an adult, he likes to draw like children. He's created illustrations for books, video games, and many other projects. He likes to eat colorful fruits and vegetables and admires animals in documentaries because it seems they have superpowers. Susan Griner is a Japanese American author of children's fiction. She has written short stories and poetry for both Cricket and Babybug magazines. Her latest middle grade novel, Shy Ways, is based on her life as a Japanese American growing up in the south. She lives in Washington State with her husband and two daughters.
