About Susan Griner

Román Díaz was born in Mexico. Since he was a child he always wanted to draw like adults. Now that he is an adult he likes to draw like children. He's created illustrations for books video games and many other projects. He likes to eat colorful fruits and vegetables and admires animals in documentaries because it seems they have superpowers. Susan Griner is a Japanese American author of children's fiction. She has written short stories and poetry for both Cricket and Babybug magazines. Her latest middle grade novel Shy Ways is based on her life as a Japanese American growing up in the south. She lives in Washington State with her husband and two daughters.
