Russell Adams FRPS (1912-2000) was probably the pioneer photographer of the jet age. His dramatic air-to-air photographs of Britain's early jet fighters like the Gloster Meteor and Javelin regularly graced the pages of magazines and newspapers at home and overseas in the 1950s and early 60s. This album showcases Adams' very best work.

TIM KERSHAW is a former chairman of the Jet Age Museum and remains an active member of this organisation. He worked in technical publicity for GEC, Johnson Matthey and Plessey, moved to corporate PR in the City and then decided on a radical career change to become a professional architectural model maker. He lives near Tewkesbury. Tim is the author of The Jet Pioneers (Sutton 2004).
