Jeremy Spillane had never written a book before - there was never anything that gripped him enough to make him embark on the massive amount of hard work that writing a book entails. In his twenties he was offered the job of Sub-Editor on the local newspaper, but after much internal debate he accepted a much better paid job in the electronics industry. By his very early sixties, he accepted that his life was pretty ordinary and simple, nothing Earth-shattering was ever going to happen to him�then his wife, Caroline�s parents died.
