In the first book of the Young Joseph series, we find Joseph living in Canaan with his dad, stepmothers, eleven brothers - and lots of scene-stealing cows! Joseph is his father's favourite, which makes his brothers very cross, especially when he tells them about the dream he has had in which the sun, moon and eleven stars bow down to him. To cheer him up, Joseph's dad gives him a beautiful coat of many colours - a 'rainbow robe' to remind him that God loves everyone - even his brothers.
Fiona Veitch Smith is the author of the Young David series (SPCK, 2015) and has also published detective fiction with Lion Hudson. She also lectures in journalism and creative writing. She lives in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Andy Catling (illustrator) lives in Hampshire with his two children who love to sneak into their dad’s room and draw all over his clothes! He studied at Norwich school of art where he acquired the skills to animate and digitally render his work. When Andy is not working he enjoys reading historical novels and soaking up stories and ideas.
