"A tremendous resource for those wanting to study and teach the Bible with an understanding of how the gospel is woven throughout Scripture." —Bryan Chapell, Pastor, Grace Presbyterian Church

The Knowing the Bible series is a resource designed to help Bible readers better understand and apply God’s Word.

These 12-week studies lead participants through books of the Bible and are made up of four basic components: (1) reflection questions help readers engage the text at a deeper level; (2) “Gospel Glimpses” highlight the gospel of grace throughout the book; (3) “Whole-Bible Connections” show how any given passage connects to the Bible’s overarching story of redemption, culminating in Christ; and (4) “Theological Soundings” identify how historic orthodox doctrines are taught or reinforced throughout Scripture.

With contributions from an array of influential pastors and church leaders, these gospel-centered studies will help Christians see and cherish the message of God’s grace on every page of the Bible.

The book of Joshua records a key period in the outworking of God’s plan to redeem his people from slavery in Egypt. At God’s command and under Joshua’s leadership, the nation of Israel invaded Canaan—the land God had promised his people.

In this study, pastor Trent Hunter offers readers rich insights into the book’s overarching story of salvation and the ultimate rest offered to all who trust in Christ for salvation— helping them apply its message to their lives today.

Trent Hunter (MDiv, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) serves as the pastor for preaching and teaching at Heritage Bible Church in Greer, South Carolina. He is a founding board member and editor at Christ Over All and an instructor for the Simeon Trust Workshops on Biblical Exposition. He is the author of Graphical Greek: A Quick Reference Guide for Biblical Greek and coauthor of Christ from Beginning to End: How the Full Story of Scripture Reveals the Full Glory of Christ. Trent is married to Kristi, and they have five children. His writing and preaching can be found at TrentHunter.com.
