Nach dem Studium der Betriebswirtschaftslehre und Unternehmensführung war Christian Zipfel zunächst in einer strategischen Unternehmensberatung tätig, bevor er 2001 in die Automobilindustrie als Projektleiter im strategischen Marketing wechselte. 2004-2007 war er verantwortlich für den Vertrieb Deutschland eines Automobilherstellers im Luxussegment.
