He is currently the senior faculty member and Coordinator of the Communications/Media Arts Program at Broome Community College in Binghamton, New York, where he has taught introductory and advanced level courses in both theory-based and production-oriented mass communication topics. Professor Detrani was recently honored as a 2010 recipient of the State University of New York’s Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching, one of the highest and most prestigious honors given by the SUNY system.
