Kindred Faith explores the stories of 120 people who have a trusting and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. These personal testaments show readers how faith in Him has impacted and changed lives.

In December of 2014, Lindsay Schuling Cooper made a New Years resolution to read the Bible from beginning to end starting in January of 2015. Her eagerness to read daily turned into pure joy. In February she prayed to God, “Lord, use me to do your works.” This prayer was prayed often and soon Lindsay was given her assignment from God.

In June of 2015, Lindsay began interviewing people and asking them two questions: “What can you say about God?” and “How has He changed your life/worked in your life?”. She planned on interviewing 50 people. Instead, God had 120 people in mind for her to interview all within the time frame of three months. Lindsay started out in her comfort zone, but God led her elsewhere. She went to shelters, jails, local churches and met with many strangers. She compiled their testaments into Kindred Faith to share with readers the stories of God’s people and show them that faith and trust in God will impact their lives.

Lindsay Schuling Cooper’s purpose in writing her first book, Kindred Faith, is to empower readers with the knowledge that God does work in the lives of His people and loves them greatly despite their sin, imperfections, and faults. Through many trials of her own, she too faced the truth that God loves her and has a purpose for her on this earth. Lindsay has had a passion for photography since the age of sixteen. She has traveled across the United States capturing the beauty of God’s creation through her camera lens. She has taught art and photography for the last twelve years in West Des Moines, Iowa, and resides in Ankeny, Iowa, with her husband and three kids, Harper, Calvin, and Norah.
