About Daniel Thompson | Thais Mesquita
Daniel Thompson is an award-winning UK children’s author and poet whose books celebrate imagination, empathy and big feelings in little people. He has written picture books for HarperCollins Children’s Books including Being You, Outside In and All of Me, and titles for Collins Big Cat such as Escape Room and Giraffe in Space. Alongside his more heartfelt stories, Daniel also loves writing funny, playful poetry for younger readers, filled with silliness, surprises and laugh-out-loud moments. He regularly visits schools and festivals, leading interactive sessions that encourage children to fall in love with words. Daniel lives in the UK and is usually thinking about his next story. Thaís Mesquita is a Brazilian illustrator and mixed-media artist working across children’s publishing, visual development, and design. Thaís has worked with many publishers and animation studios and has also collaborated with the United Nations and UNICEF. She now lives in Germany as a full-time artist and illustrator. Strongly inspired by her beloved homeland of Brazil, she always celebrates its magical energy and warm colours in her artwork.
