Originally from County Kildare, Ireland, Thomas Groome is Professor of Theology and Religious Education at Boston College. His credentials include the equivalent of a master's degree in divinity from St. Patrick's Seminary in Carlow, Ireland and he has earned master's and doctoral degrees from Fordham University and Union Theological Seminary at Columbia University. His interests focus mainly on religious education and its theory, history, and practice.
