Wasow has been professor of linguistics and philosophy at Stanford University since 1973 and is affiliated with the Symbolic Systems Program. Emily M. Bender is an associate professor in the Department of Linguistics and an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington.
