Three people, known only by their initials, move through the sprawling luxury of a mysterious hotel and its ornamental gardens. Perhaps M is A's husband and X her lover. Jean-Louis Leutrat taught cinema history and aesthetics at the University of Paris III – Sorbonne Nouvelle, France. He wrote books on Jean-Luc Godard, Resnais, John Ford, and Jean Renoir.
