A fascinating look into the business and lifestyle philosophy of Jason Kingsley OBE, CEO of Rebellion. Rebellion is one of the world’s most successful independent games developers and also a film and TV production company and publisher. Combining his love of Medieval History and success in business, this unique book will give insight into a modern interpretation of the Knightly Code of Chivalry, the moral system which combined a warrior ethos, knightly piety, and courtly manners, all combining to establish a notion of honour and nobility, in a motivational and aspirational take on how to live life to the fullest.

Each chapter will focus on one main chivalric theme, and how it has influenced his philosophy, helped equip him with personal tools to succeed, and how it has maximised his work-life balance. The book will also provide insight into his love for the medieval period and how this complements his professional life.
Jason Kingsley CBE is the CEO, Creative Director and Founder of Rebellion, one of Europe’s largest and oldest independent game developers. Jason co-founded Rebellion with his brother Chris in 1992, after leaving Oxford University, with the studio making an immediate impact upon the release of seminal shooter Alien vs Predator. In 2000 Jason led Rebellion’s purchase of powerhouse UK sci-fi comic 2000 AD, and later co-produced the 2012 film adaptation, Dredd.

A highly influential veteran figure in the UK game industry, Jason helped found industry organisation TIGA and has been awarded an OBE and a CBE for his services to the UK economy. He also sat on the government’s Creative Industries Council and was a trustee of Her Majesty’s Royal Armouries. Jason has been profiled in The Times, The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and Forbes.com.

In addition to being a regular guest on BBC news and radio, Jason presents the medieval-themed YouTube channel Modern History TV, which has rapidly grown a worldwide subscriber base of nearly a million. Jason also maintains a stable of horses and several battle-trained stallions and participates in real jousting at historic sites both in the UK and internationally.
