LineStorm Playwrights contributed to and curated this anthology of twenty-five short plays designed to be performed outdoors, written by some of the most well-known playwrights creating ten-minute plays today. These compelling pieces can be performed inside, on a traditional stage, but they can also be site-specific works, set in a backyard, on a front porch, in a park, by a street, in a fountain, on a field, by a pool, or under the stars. The collection contains varied scenes and monologues—selections of comedy, farce, satire, musical theater, and drama—perfect for classroom study and for performance by a wide range of actors.

LOLLY WARD's plays include Mate, Do You Take This Woman? and Gone, developed through the Max K. Lerner Playwriting Fellowship. She originated roles in Sarah Ruhl's Orlando and has served as a dramaturg and judge for Caltech's Mach 33 Festival of New Science-Driven Plays. As a member of The Actors' Gang, she toured nationally and internationally and acted in both the stage and film versions of Embedded at the Public Theater. After several years in Los Angeles as a member of the Playwrights Union, she moved to Portland, Oregon, where she co-founded and co-directs LineStorm Playwrights.
LineStorm Playwrights was established in 2016 as a nonprofit collective of Portland-area dramatists. LineStorm fosters the development of new and diverse works of theater by member playwrights, sharing those works in progress with the general public to encourage dialogue and provide an opportunity to hear community voices. LineStorm is a playwright company in residence at Artists Repertory Theatre.
