From Abie Longstaff, creator of the bestselling Fairytale Hairdresser series, comes a laugh-out-loud new picture book series that reimagines the early lives of classic fairy-tale characters. These funny and original stories turn familiar tales upside down, exploring how the heroes – and villains – became the legends we know today.

The Big Bad Wolf hasn’t always been bad, but with his sharp teeth, short temper and a naughty Little Red stealing his special cloak, it might only be a matter of time…

Full of adventure, mischief, and a big bad twist, Little Big Bad Wolf is the perfect read for children who love fairy tales with a fresh, playful edge – and a dash of trouble! Join Little Wolfie and his school friends as we learn what The Big Bad Wolf was like before the fairy tale.

Abie Longstaff is an award-winning Australian-born British author of children’s fiction. She is best known for The Fairytale Hairdresser picture book series, illustrated by Lauren Beard, as well as many books for older children and educational books for schools. The Fairytale Hairdresser books have sold over 650,000 in the UK alone, and have been adapted into the Sunny Day series on Nickelodeon in the US.

Leire Martin was born in San Sebastián, Spain. She has a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts and a CGI Master. She worked as a 3D artist for three years, but drawing has always been her passion so she decided to leave it all and become a professional illustrator. She usually draws digitally but she loves traditional art too. She’s a stationery lover, and could easily spend a whole day browsing through notebooks, and all kinds of art supplies.
