As I grew, I didn't need my Mummy's milk much longer;
Tough tree bark and watery plants would make me even stronger.
My teeth were always growing, so it was vital that I chew,
And did you know that capybaras also eat their... POO?!

Young children will love this rhyming life-cycle story about a baby capybara growing up in its rainforest home.

Colourful, charming illustrations show Little Capybara's development from a tiny pup all the way to adulthood, and a page of fascinating facts at the end teaches the whole family even more about the gentle capybara, the world's biggest rodent.

Gisela Bohórquez (Illustrator)
Gisela Bohórquez fell in love with drawing when her parents gave her a huge box of crayons at three years old. Born and raised in Colombia, she was always surrounded by her uncle Jairo's amazing books and her father's drawings. At school, she used to sell little stickers with animals she drew herself. Ever since, Gisela knew she wanted to be an artist and work with shapes and colours. She studied Graphic Design in college, where she learned digital illustration and fell in love with those techniques. Then, Gisela's professional journey led her to Barcelona, where she perfected her children's illustrations.
