Vanessa Mooncie takes the reader on a making journey, explaining the techniques needed to produce a wide range of vibrant and exhilarating pieces; from intricate bumble bee brooch pins and vintage-inspired tattoo emblem brooches to delicate flower posy corsages and charming heart-shaped rings.

The book is divided into four handy chapters covering brooches; necklaces; hairbands, rings and charms; tiepins, cufflinks and keyrings. Projects range in difficulty, with some being suitable for beginner crocheters, and others for those with more experience of the craft. With detailed patterns and useful hand-drawn charts, there’s also an extensive techniques section explaining everything needed to complete the projects.

Projects include: pretty posy brooch, daffodil headband, mod target cufflinks, loveheart tattoo necklace, charm bracelet and oak leaf and acorn pendant

A multi-talented craft designer, artist and author, Vanessa Mooncie studied fashion and textile design and later became a children’s wear designer, illustrator and interior designer. Her textile designs are inspired by the rich tradition of knitting and crochet through the history of fashion, and are a blend of traditional handcrafting techniques and modern design and style. Vanessa has written many successful books for GMC Publications, and is also a regular contributor to other craft books and magazines. Vanessa lives with her husband in a rural village in the south of England. www.vanessamooncie.com
