Little Snail loves her big snail family, but sometimes she feels so different to them. She craves something more exciting... a new house. A house that’s interesting, fun and unusual – just like her.
Follow a little snail on her thoughtful and amusing quest to find a new house. Little Snail tries out a hilarious array of unexpected homes, completely unlike a snail shell! She tries hanging upside down with bats – a little uncomfortable – and a busy burrow packed with many, many rabbit roommates!
Children will love Bia Melo’s beautiful, vibrant illustrations just as much as Little Snail’s quirky, bright personality. Will Little Snail find her perfect home? Perhaps it’s closer than she thinks...
Bia Melo is a Brazilian-born illustrator and author based in East London. She studied Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art. Her debut picture book, The Dream Book, was shortlisted for the Klaus Flugge Prize and selected as The Times' Best Children's Books of the Summer. Bia’s vibrant tropical influences are reflected in her bold use of colours and textures. She finds inspiration in little details of everyday life, turning them into pieces set in a fun atmosphere, using humour and quirky characters in a visually playful approach.
