Living Heritage is a visually stunning, large-format illustrated book that explores the captivating fusion of interior design styles with the unique character of historic old-town homes across the globe. The book invites readers to journey through iconic cities, unveiling the artful balance between preserving architectural heritage and embracing contemporary aesthetics. From bohemian chic in a restored warehouse and classic elegance in a medieval townhouse to modern minimalism in a former monastery, each home highlights the opportunities and challenges of integrating contemporary design styles within historic settings. Beyond interiors, the book also contextualises homes within their vibrant urban surroundings, enriching the visual narrative. This book is an invaluable source of inspiration for interior designers, historic home owners, and travellers eager to discover the charm of old towns around the world.

Stephanie Grafin Bruges-von Pfuel, born in Munich in 1961, comes from a long-established noble family. After earning her degree in engineering, she took over the management of Tussling Castle and its estates following her father's passing. She led extensive renovations and established the castle as a cultural venue. In addition to publishing books on interior design and hospitality, she has worked as a model, appeared on television as a presenter and guest, and is dedicated to helping children. In 2014, she became Tussling's first female mayor. For her broad commitment to politics, culture, and society, she received the Federal Cross of Merit (2011) and the Bavarian Order of Merit (2016).
