Little Dino, the young Tyrannosaurus, isn't at all scary, unlike the dinosaurs that you may have seen in the movies. Other shades demonstrated by Little Dino and his chums include yellow sand, an orange balloon, brown cookies and a pink cake. Later pages invite readers to point to the red dinosaurs and to name all the colours shown.
Jan Lewis is an experienced artist, who works mostly in vibrant ink and line. Her distinctive work has appeared on greetings cards, in animatics for advertising, and in animation for television, but the bulk of her work has been for a wide range of attractive children's books.
