For many years, R. M. Ryan worked as a stockbroker by day and a poet by night. His previous books of poetry include Goldilocks in Later Life and Vaudeville in the Dark. Now a full-time writer, he is also the author of a non-fiction memoir about life as a soldier in Vietnam, There's a Man with a Gun Over There. He lives in California.
