Maggie Sparks does NOT like hospitals!

Especially not when Grandad Sparks is stuck in one with a bad ankle instead of taking her and Arthur on a weekend adventure.

To make matters worse, there’s a shapeshifting hobgoblin on the loose, pretending to be a doctor and making FOOD FLY. Luckily, Maggie is a super powerful, super smart, super talented WITCH. She plans to catch the hobgoblin before it causes any more MAYHEM and then use her powers to make Grandad better.

All she needs is a little magic

About the Maggie Sparks series:

Step into the magical world of Maggie Sparks: the mischievous little witch who turns every day into an adventure. Join Maggie as she learns how to tackle school, make friends and most confusing of all: understand her emotions – when she’s not facing dragons and meeting aliens, that is! Perfect to bridge the gap between Isadora Moon and Amelia Fang for young readers aged 5+.

Steve Smallman has been illustrating children's books for over 40 years and has written a number of his own award-winning children's stories. When he's not working or visiting schools, Steve enjoys films, television, gardening, and walking in the countryside.

Esther Hernando lives in Barcelona with her partner, her cat and a bunny. As a child, she always filled her school books with drawings, and when she got home she kept drawing. She studied 1 year comic and illustration in Escola Joso and since then she's a self-taught artist focusing on the Children's illustrations. Esther's work is expressive, fun, colourful, and textured. She always works digitally since it allows her to work from anywhere, from a coffee shop to the sofa of her house. In addition to illustration, she likes gastronomy, movies and television, video games and hanging out with the people she loves.
