Book 7 in the Magic Animal Café series! Written by debut author, Jo Glasspool and beautifully illustrated throughout by Mai Ngo.

An old truck reversing into Old Tommy’s field and dumping a pile of scrap and junk creates quite the stir amongst its animal residents! But what’s worse, there is a surprise visitor. It is a kitten called Lyra. She has no idea how she has ended up so far from home – she is lost.

Thankfully, Preeya and Ashton are there to save the day and try to find where Lyra’s home is. But it seems there is something else going on behind the scenes and the biggest surprise of all is yet to come.

About the Magic Animal Café series:

Magic Animal Café is bursting with creatures: feathered ones, furry ones and little and large ones. All of these animals come together through the Magic Animal Café. But there are only a few special children who can hear and speak to the animals, thanks to a magical telephone. Dial into the world of wonder filled with adventure, friendship and adorable animals!

With engaging illustrations and quirky talking animals, Magic Animal Café is perfect for animal lovers and young readers aged 7+.

Jo has been making up stories for her whole life, and has worked as a writer and editor for over 20 years. She lives in the Cotswolds, where she loves looking out for local wildlife, making things and telling magical tales with her two young children, Tilly and Milo.

Mai Ngo is a freelance book illustrator by day, qualified cat servant by night since 2018. Her illustration studio is based in Hanoi, Vietnam. Mai love books, especially children’s books. She is now SCBWI’s member and was the SCBWI Featured Illustrator in April, 2020.
