Your smartest organ tells you what your senses are sensing - without you even trying! It uses what you already know and your memories to understand all that you hear, see, smell, taste, and touch. Go beyond your five senses and explore the science
behind how you make sense of the world around you. You’ll discover how you pick up clues from your environment and how those observations become messages for your brilliant brain to interpret and fill in the blanks - all at lightning speed - to form your perception. Kid-friendly text from two expert psychologists along with cheerful art provides an in-depth look at how it all comes together.
Claire A. B. Freeland, PhD, is a clinical psychologist, working for more than thirty-five years with youth and their families.
