Barnaby Lenon and Tracey Smith have teamed up to give new teachers a great introduction into training for their career. Combining their expertise and years of experience, together they explore the basics of teacher training in England, how best to prep for training, assessment, behaviour management, subject knowledge and structuring lessons while also covering topics such as trends and measuring success.

Barnaby Lenon taught at Eton College, Holland Park School, Sherborne School, Highgate School and was the head of Trinity School, Croydon and Harrow School. He has been a governor of 23 schools, state and independent, and was the founding chairman of governors of a state free school, the London Academy of Excellence. He was on the board of Ofqual during the period of extensive reform to the curriculum and exams in the 2010s. He is currently dean of education at the University of Buckingham, one of the largest teacher training providers in the UK and is a trustee of the Yellow Submarine charity for young people with learning disabilities in Oxford. He was awarded a CBE for services to education.
Tracey Smith taught at Stadhampton and St Francis Primary schools in Oxfordshire and then was headteacher at Bladon, Tower Hill and New Marston Primary Schools in Oxfordshire, before becoming head of primary teacher training at the University of Buckingham. Tracey returned to headship as executive headteacher of two Faringdon Primary Schools before continuing working with teacher training and supervision at the University of Buckingham.
